E-2 visa Suitable for investors and entrepreneurs. Non-citizen work visas that make significant investments in U.S. companies. This type of visa allows the visa holder to operate their invested companies in the U.S.
Apply for qualifications
1. Employee: The employee and the investor have the same nationality and the employee will assume management and supervision responsibilities, or possess special qualifications that are essential to the effective operation of the enterprise.
2. Investor: is a national of a country that maintains a trade and navigation treaty with the United States and has invested in the United States or is actively investing in large amounts.
3. Dependents: Investors and employees' spouses and unmarried children under 21 can apply for E-2 visas. The dependents do not have to have the same nationality as the investor or employee, and apply for an E-2 non-immigrant visa as a dependent.

1. Personal information and documents of the applicant and the beneficiary (employer, or its employees, family members)
2. Documents certifying that the investment company and the beneficiary meet the E-2 conditions

Application cycle
If you are outside the United States: An interview notice will be received within an average of 6 to 12 weeks after the application is submitted. In most cases, the decision will be notified within 3 to 5 working days after the interview.
